FINO Graduate Conference on Mind, Science, and Language

We are delighted to announce the upcoming FINO Graduate Conference on Mind, Science, and Language, which will take place in person from September 12-13, 2024, at the University of Eastern Piedmont (UPO), Department of Humanities, Vercelli, Italy. The conference is sponsored by Compagnia di San Paolo and is part of the FINO PhD Programme in Philosophy

Application

 We invite submissions from PhD students in any area of analytic philosophy, with contributions on social ontology and philosophy of mind being particularly welcome this year. Participation from underrepresented minorities is highly encouraged. To apply, please send an abstract (max 500 words), prepared for blind review, and a short CV to upogradconference@gmail.com by July 21, 2024. Contributions should be suitable for a 40-minute presentation followed by a 20-minute Q&A session. Notification of acceptance will be delivered by July 28, 2024. Vercelli, located in Piedmont, is easily accessible from both Turin and Milan, with only a 50-minute train ride from either location. While there is no participation fee, participants will need to arrange their accommodation. The conference is held under the auspices of the Centre for Logic, Language, and Cognition (LLC), the Italian Society for Analytic Philosophy (SIFA), and the Italian Society for Logic and the Philosophy of Science (SILFS).
